National Action Plan for Senior Citizens (NAPSrC)

Ageing process is natural and old age is the result of such process. Old age brings a whole lot of issues and problems for a person such as physical, health, psychological etc. During this period the person loss the natural ability to move thus creating the most important issue as he/she will have to depend upon other for the same. Sometimes the older persons if not supported properly by family members face the uphill task of doing their daily chores. At present most of the people are staying away from their aged parents thus necessitating the need of the Senior Citizens Home. Also other factors like absence of any family members, poverty, absence of proper healthcare etc. for which the older persons need the shelter homes.
